Murphy is definitely at the top of the Oscar-worthy ladder in terms of performances this year. Nolan's use of silences alongside Ludwig Goransson's hauntingly out-of-body experience score is such a brilliant idea. Cillian Murphy shakes you to the core as Oppenheimer. Robert Downey Jr delivers his career-best performance that is sure to fetch him multiple nominations and perhaps his first Academy Award for his portrayal of Lewis Strauss. Performances make the film more of a human experience than watching characters from a history textbook. Almost structured like an atom with Oppenheimer as the nucleus, the peripheral characters are constantly at odds striking the core like protons and neutrons. The ensemble cast is stellar and who wouldn't want to be in a Nolan film? From the enigmatic Robert Downey Jr to the stunning Emily Blunt to the razor-sharp Matt Damon and charismatic Rami Malek, everyone has so much to do and offer to the film. Oppenheimer is a film that will need multiple viewings simply because it has so many nuanced characters and their points of view that it makes the three-hour-long duration seem worth your while. Nolan deals with a myriad of topics early on in the film - from the depiction of women in the workplace, their place in the decision-making hierarchy to navigating the murky puddles of American politics. What can a single atom do in space? How does gravity play with the dynamics of space theory? What starts as mere monologues in his mind soon becomes a point in time where mankind is on the brink of taking a step that can never be undone. His mind conjures up permutations and combinations of endless possibilities in the field of physics. The explosions happening in your mind are even more real than the ones you watch on screen.Ĭillian Murphy plays the titular role of Oppenheimer, whose life (like the black-and-white to colour-changing frames) has multiple shades. In reality, though, when you watch the film, the discussion seems more like a mere distraction. The noise about Nolan not using CGI or VFX to show the explosions has become a huge discussion about Oppenheimer. "That's a pretty good indicator that there's lots of ingredients that are not quite conducive for good health," she says.The much-anticipated film is everything you would come to expect from Nolan (haunting background score, ground-breaking camera work, unexpected surprises and a cerebral indulgence of emotions), yet it also is the most 'non-Nolan' movie experience. The meals often don't have the same "vegetable bulk" as the smaller meals, she adds, and also have a long ingredients list. "They're not in the same category as these other products," says the dietitian. "Nutritionally it's excellent, full of pulses and legumes, whole grains.and again, fairly inexpensive," she says. In particular, the dietitian spotlighted Super Nature's Split Pea and Lentil Dahl meal. She also noted that all the meals she chose were actually quite a bargain, costing between $4 and $7.50.įor vegans and vegetarians, Chambers also had some impressive picks. "It's quite a decent size, it's full of whole grains, lean proteins, vegetables, all the things that make up a really nice, healthy meal," says Chambers. Chambers said the most cost-effective meal was Super Nature's Wellness bowl. The most cost-effective meal Chambers found was the Wellness Bowl by Super Nature. She particularly highlighted the Lemon Pepper Chicken meal, which had a higher amount of vegetables included compared to other meals.
